New shelter in progress!
Our main focus was finishing our summer house. However the work load was a bit more than what we anticipated. And there were a few complications along the way.
Effectively what we're building is a wooden framed poly tunnel. Now if you're familiar with poly tunnels you would have noticed the general design is a hooped metal frame with a wooden doorway, which the plastic sheet staples to the wooden frame.
Now the issue with this idea is that once the plastic sheet is pierced with the staples the wind will course the plastic to rip over time. So we decided to add waterproof tape over the staples to help protect it long term.
We would love to hear your DIY polytunnel stories and what worked for you?
Until next time, happy gardening!
