A raised garden bed is the ideal way to grow plants and vegetables at home. This piece, from Outsunny, allows you to garden stylishly in your own space. The protective design keeps weeds out and away from the inner soil, drains thoroughly and defends the inside from pests and anything else undesirable. A practical and decorative addition to your patio.

Made from solid wood this raised flower bed is suitable for use on patios and on the ground. As there is no base to the bed this will allow the roots of large plants such as trees to grow roots deeper into the ground white the raised garden bed maintains the border of the plants.

80 x 80 x 22.5 cm

Features:

  • Suitable for plants, vegetables, herbs and flowers etc.
  • Elevated design to keep weeds and pests away from the growing area
  • Made from solid wood  for durability and longevity
  • 22.5 cm deep design is perfect for long-rooted plants
  • Easy assembly with four metal poles in the corners
  • Prevents water accumulation in the soil.
  • Made from fir wood.

Top tip: Before you set up your new flower bed, use the planter to mark out the new area you wish to place it by using a half moon shovel to cut into the soil to draw out the outline. Remove old growth such as grass or ground cover plants, and ensure your surface is flat. Add a layer of cardboard to the base of the flower bed to prevent old weeds shooting through before you add your compost. Once the new layer of compost is raked flat, add a layer of fine mulch to cover the soil before you begin your planting. This will help retain water, keep slugs away and protect the roots of young plants from frost damage. It will also give a smart finished look.
