Black evergreen ornamental grass - Summer flowering - Autumn berries
Also known as black mondo grass, Black dragon, black ornamental grass, and lily turf. A small evergreen perennial plant that grows from rhizomes. The leaves grow from dark green to purple then black and will produce light velvet flowers in the Summer, followed by purple berries in Autumn.
Grows well in slightly acidic soil, in a shady or sunny area and will look great in flower beds, pots and rockeries and as a border edge plant . Prune back any dead parts and divide roots in spring to propagate.
