Frost hardy - Pink Flowering shrub - Pollinating Plant
Weigela 'Bristol Ruby' is a deciduous flowering shrub originating from Asia, prized for its vibrant display of deep ruby-red, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom from May to June. The leaves of the Weigela have a elliptic shape with serrate teeth. This compact plant typically grows to 1.5–2 metres tall and wide, making it ideal for borders and garden structures. The foliage consists of lance-shaped, green leaves that provide an attractive backdrop to the blooms. Beyond its ornamental appeal, the flowers are edible and make charming additions to cut flower arrangements. This shrub is a magnet for pollinators and wildlife, particularly bees and butterflies. For best results, plant in moist, well-drained soil in a position receiving full sun to partial shade, where it will flourish and reward you with reliable, colourful flowering year after year.
