Winter snow berry bush - Summer pink flowering - Grows well in sun or shade
Commonly known as waxberry, or ghostberry. Native to North America. A popular ornamental shrub grown for its gorgeous white and pink flowers in summer followed by snow white berries in the winter. It has oval leaves that are oppositely arranged on the spreading branches. Symphoricarpos Albus does well in moist shady or sunny areas. Will grow up to 1-2 meters. Prune back in early spring. Avoid pruning in summer as this will prevent the plant from growing berries. This plant can be used to make soap and medicine . Please note the fruit of Snowberry are toxic to humans and pets if consumed.
