Also known as the orange ball tree, orange ball buddlejia, matico and butterfly bush.  This wild plant is a popular ornamental plant. This semi evergreen shrub with lanceolate leaves and  bright orange - yellow sweet scented flowers that blooms in summer. Buddleja Glabosa  will grow up to 5 meters tall and will attract butterflies and bees. It is easy to grow and will thrive in a sunny or shady area. Prune back lightly after flowers have faded. The Royal Horticultural Society has added this plant to the list of Plants For Pollinators. It has also been awarded with a Royal Horticultural Society Gold Merit Award. Meaning it is a reliable plant. Please note that Glabosa Orange ball grows slower than other buddlejia varieties. This plant is safe around children and pets.

Lovely plant 🌱 was a shame one stem was snapped during transit , but apart from that happy healthy plant and fast delivery

Buddlega Globosa less bushy than you imagine

The plant was in a 2 litre pot but only had 2 stems, which for the price is fairly poor. It also only stretched 30cms with not secondary branches. Not great.

Hi Steven. We are sorry you feel the plant was not as expected. We did make a typing error with the pot size which has now been editied on our website. However the plant supplied had been growing for over 2 years and had a healthy root system, healthy leaves and was flowering on the date it was sent out. To make the plant bushier it should be cut back after the flowering season. Which can be done later in the year. However I would like to reassure you that these plants will still grow into a full size shrub/ Tree that can be cut into shape once it has reached maturity. We price our plants based on the time they take to grow and on this occasion as it is one of our top selling plants we feel this is a fair price. We do however take any critisism into consideration and do appreciate your feedback which can help us improve our customers shopping experience going forward.
