Cotoneaster Franchetii, also known as  franchets contoneaster or orange contoneaster. Native to China and Thailand.  A popular ornamental shrub producing oval acute dark green leaves, white flowers tinted with pink in early summer, followed by red pome berries in the Autumn. This is an easy and fast growing, low maintenance plant. Suitable for hedging, city courtyard gardens, coastal and countryside cottage gardens. Will grow in full sun or shady area. The dense, hairy-leaved leaves are at least 20% more effective at soaking up air pollution than other shrubs often planted along roadsides. Please note cotoneaster berries are toxic to pets and humans if consumed.
