Also known as Japanese Sledge. A low maintenance ornamental grass. Native to Southern Japan. Carex Marrowii is tall growing ornamental grass with pink rimmed leaves. Easy to grow and will grow well in most soil types. Will grow well in full sun, or part shade and will look great in flower beds, pots and rockeries. Will grow up to 110 cm and produces hazel feathery flowers in the summer. This plant will fade over winter and grow again in spring. Cut back any dead bits in winter and early spring. Plant out between Spring and Autumn. Propagate by division.
